Terms of Reference of the College Research Committee (CRC)
The College Research Committee is a committee of the Academic Board with responsibility for oversight of strategies and policies related to research within the Faculties.
The College Research Committee (CRC) shall:
- Consider proposals from staff through their Dean, on applications to all
internal and external sources of research funding.
- Develop, monitor and review policies relating to the College’s research
activities, including research and research training, internationalization, and
their management.
- Monitor
and endorse the activities of the College’s Human Research Ethics Committee.
- Provide
leadership and advice on mechanisms to improve monitoring, benchmarking and
reporting of the College’s research performance.
- Ensure
research related workshops and seminars are frequently scheduled to encourage
continual advancement of scholarly activities including the publication of
research findings;
Members
The Committee shall be composed of the following personnel:
Chair: nominated by VP (Academic)
Secretary: nominated by the President
Members: the Dean of each Faculty
VP (Academic)
Co-opted member(s): To be decided by the Chair as necessary
